This is Amelia's Newsletter, a continuation of my old newsletter Amelia Tries To Do A Startup, fondly known as ATTDAS. ATTDAS started as a personal newsletter in October 2018, when I quit my Silicon Valley tech job to work on an idea for a better way to save family memories. At the time, it was just supposed to be a way for friends to follow along on the adventure. I think I literally had a button at the bottom that let you buy me a coffee for $5 or something.
20 editions later in November 2019, with the cheerleading and support of many wonderful friends (and lots of little $5 coffees later), I raised our first round of venture capital for Honeycomb and put ATTDAS on indefinite hiatus to grow the company.
I haven’t totally yet figured out what this new chapter will be about. My goal is to write something once a month about a thing I think is interesting, to not worry about it too much beyond that, and to find out where that takes me.
